I make functional pots for daily use, with intent of pleasing both the eye and hand. Points of departure in sculpture are everyday objects, like shoes, purses and irons. I exaggerate scale, manipulate form and texture, and sometimes make social commentary in ongoing series: Who says Women are Powerless?

“It is my intent in commissions and public art to create work that embodies the spirit of the project and complements the site. Often, I’m able to include public participation in concept and/or production.”
